I get to go today! Yay! Hooray! That is, if the overcast skies do not give way to rain. š I’m really looking forward to it! Here’s a sketch I made the last time I was at the Ciener Botanical Gardens.
Sometimes I like to put little restrictionsĀ guidelines for myself, as I did that day: only paint. No lines, no pens, just watercolor and a brush. Other days I make it an all line day, maybe color later. I have no idea what I’ll do today…it’ll hit me when I get there!
I hope your weekend allows you a spot of time to paint, or draw, or whatever tickles your fancy!
You watercolor paintings are just such a breath of fresh air!
Thank you so much Agatas! That is a lovely compliment!
Hope you have a wonderful time. As I drove to my daughter’s house I checked to see how far the Los Angeles arboretum was from my house (I knew I’d pass the turn off for it) and bummer, it’s 100 miles from my house. I sure hope your place is much closer!
Ai! Yi! Yi! That’s too far away for you to drive! Fortunately, the Botanical
Gardens are about 3 miles or so from my house! I had a great time! Will share my paintings soon!
Sooo beautiful! I love your colors!!
Thank you so much Mari!!
“a breath of fresh air” as Agata says expresses perfectly well what I feel about this drawing of yours too!
When you paint outdoors do you use regular brushes or aquabrushes?
Have a nice day!
I do the same thing – and I also often do not plan ahead. Keeps me interested. This is vibrant, exciting, colorful, and fun – a success!
