I knitted and felted these slippers two years ago and have worn them every coolish day since. I had quite a time getting them to felt down to the size I needed…I actually had to boil them in a big pot on the stove!! But in the end, this made for very thick soled slippers that are heavenly to “slip” into at day’s end. I think Genevieve wears these at the end of her day also!:)
I love them! I wonder if I should try knitting my son a pair if they last so well. I end up knitting him a couple pair of thick (2 strands of knitting worsted weight yarn) socks each year but they don’t last long. Yours are so bright and pretty (as is the painting). I don’t think he’d like those colors, lol.
They sure look comfy!
What wonderful slippers. Clearly loved and comfy. I loved the story as well. 🙂
So nice, they look comfortable!
They do look warm and really comfy, I like the colours of them.
The slippers sound heavenly!
Oh Jennifer, I love seeing glimpses into your life through your blogs! How creative you always are- – and have been in my memories of you, too. 🙂 I wish we were still neighbors!
I feel very privileged still to have a Jennifer Edwards original for our wedding invitation! (It sits framed on my dresser to this day.)
I hope our paths cross (in real life) again soon…
These look very comfy, indeed! Warm, too!! nancy
