No Skip November!

I was talking with the music teacher (he’s an incredible musician and singer/songwriter) at the school where I teach, who, in October, was getting a head start on No Shave November…LOL!! Anyway, somehow I got to thinking, with all the drawings, paintings, sketches that I’m way behind on posting for you here, I could do a No Skip November, where EACH DAY I post a drawing for you.  Well, I’ve already skipped two days…but we’ll just pretend that the posts which had multiple images will suffice for those “skipped” days, and I’ll move forward this month in posting one a day!

And since we’re on the topic of my school…here’s a little sketch I made during my lunch break one day.  This big window has a shelf just under it.  Students and parents have donated all sorts of cast-off goodies for our art creations this year: shoe boxes, water bottles, bottle caps, various papers, fabrics, ribbons, etc.  I seem to gravitate towards drawing these jumbles…I like seeing the connections between the lines, both in the foreground and the background.

So check in tomorrow and daily from then on in November! No skipping for me!

I will come & check in tomorrow. I like it so far! Here it is ‘Movember’, guys grow a Mo to raise funds for prostate cancer. Sounds a lot like the ‘No Shave’ thing??

Yep, Movember to us! I love your drawings (although I hide the jumbles of boxes and fabric etc. under a shelf and try not to look at them – much as I love collecting them, hoarding them just in case and using them, I hate seeing them there all untidy!) and the idea of a No Skip November. Someone else was saying that November is Art Every Day Month, so I am taking both these posts as a sign to get myself drawing again! Thanks!

No, this stuff is just donated items the parents had sitting around their houses…empty shoe boxes, empty water bottles, bits and baubles they gave to our art classes for some of the projects we are gooing to make this year. I need to organize it all somehow…but it does look kinda festive, doesn’t it?

I love it when you do this type of drawing/painting! And as for the mess, well, it is how my space looks most of the time! I did just recently have to do some reorganizing since it had gotten to the point of not being able to put my board down on my desk, or anywhere else for that matter.
