On My Easel

Eat-it-with-a-spoon gorgeous yarn…Trendsetter’s Yosemite. It reminds me of a richly colored and textured landscape painting. I enjoyed every minute of the soft “new wool and acrylic” moving in and out of thick and thin corals, purples, rich browns and earth greens. The shock of bright pink was the icing on the cake. The pattern is a Colinette pattern…and though I adore the Colinette Point Five yarn, my pocketbook does not, and so I was delighted to find this perfect substitute: much less expensive and more yardage per hank. Instead of a size 17 round I used a 15 and seemed to get the right size. I have not blocked it yet, which typically works MAGIC…so if I love it now, it will be terrific after blocking. I’ll be ready for early fall…can’t wait.
