Senior Moment

She sits comfortably on the couch, doing her homework,

researching on the ipad…and I’m thinking.

Thinking that next year at this time, she won’t be sitting on our couch.

But on some couch or dorm chair doing her homework…at college.

<Snif> <Snif>

I’m drinking it all in now…

enjoying every minute I have with her as a senior in high school.:)

Not easy – we lived through that a few years ago – now our son’s about to graduate college! Being apart is tough, even now at time.s. The great thing though is through this period we have seen him change into a responsible and capable young man. It is wonderful to behold.

Awwwww…. so she’s going to college next year. Hmmmm… I can only imagine how that will be like since we don’t have kids yet… I’d probably be over 55 when/iff that happens. Beautiful sketch Jennifer, as always

Lol, you got me. I was wondering how you would paint a “forgotten” moment and it’s about your own “young” senior instead. Nice job too! My grandson is also a senior but he won’t be leaving home next year but going instead to the local junior college. Things will be different but they will be good! I know as my two have done the growing and leaving but I have just found new ways to enjoy them! You will too.

Well, I cried when my son left and even when he would come home from college for vacation, I cried when he returned. It does take awhile to accept the change. Remember, your job is to give them roots and wings.
