Sketchbook Chat #5: Ordinary Drawings from an Ordinary Life

It is my desire to resume my Sketchbook Chats, so I’m picking up where I left off and offering you the fifth one!

I was out in my backyard drawing the rhododendron bush that is showing off right by our deck. I had planned to video more outside there, but alas, a neighbor began to mow his lawn, so I came indoors to show more sketches, drawings, paintings, all from my sketchbooks over the last several weeks.

I hope you are continuing to draw and sketch your life, finding beauty along the way!

Enjoy!

Artfully yours,

Jennifer

That was enjoyable, thank you! Love you rhododendrons, especially now as our snow is just melting 🙂 Your sketchs are so cheerful and loose, something I hope to learn.
Would you consider doing a Sketchbook Chat on your supplies and all? It’s always so interesting to see what you use and carry all your things in. Keep wishing I coikd find a suitable bag to act as a purse, yet carry my sketchbook and stuff in. I am just getting an assortment of watercolor “things” together to start sketching with ~ thanks for the inspiration!

Hi elaine! I will do that! Perhaps in the next Sketchbook Chat! I feel like I am still searching for the “perfect” carry-all, but then that’s the fun of it all. Keep sketching and splashing paint around. Have a lovely day! -Jennifer
